Land off Mead Lane, Sandford

This project within the small community of Sandford will provide 35 new dwellings, together with associated landscaping, open space, orchard and play facilities, designed working with an extensive design team for Strongvox Homes. This development lies west of the famous Thatcher’s Brewery on the Strawberry ‘Cycle’ Line.

The “Strawberry Line” was the nickname of the Cheddar Valley Line, a Great Western Railway branch line that ran from Witham Junction to Yatton via Shepton Mallet, Wells and Cheddar until the late 1960s.

The design maintains the existing constraints, sympathetic to the local context and landscaping features, providing a harmonious addition to the community.
