This project had the vision to create a well-connected development that is visually linked with the surrounding landscape and forms an
appropriate extension of the previous phase and the existing village.

PLACE by design working closely with the design team and our client Allison Homes, which achieved reserved matters planning in 2025.

Key aspects to our design included.

LANDSCAPE – Interconnected public open spaces can serve as focal points for the community, and preserve existing landscape
features while also enhancing biodiversity.
BALANCED – The appropriate scale and housing mix align with local housing needs, considering both feasibility and site-specific factors.
SELF SUFFICIENCY – Establishing connections between current and previous development phases, connecting the existing community
to new community infrastructure and play opportunities
SENSITIVE – The proposal aims to harmonize with its surroundings, respecting existing landscape views and preserving the town’s
character. It seeks to naturally and sensitively extend the town’s character.
