Copplestone, Mid-Devon

This Moorview residential development on the northern edge of Copplestone in Mid-Devon was aimed to be of exemplar urban design and architecture to enable sustainable living and reduced energy consumption.

It included the provision and creation of:

• 40 open market and affordable dwellings (incorporating a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed housing) offering opportunities to harness solar energy;

• A new village green with an informal play area;

• A new 64 space car park serving Copplestone train station; and

• New habitats across the site, which connect on-site features to the wider green network.

For this project we provided Urban Design, Architectural and Masterplanning expertise as part of a team of consultants.

The masterplan was evolved and refined through Creating Excellence feedback and local resident observations.
